Affiliate Disclosure
Some links on BetNaija247 are affiliate links, so a bookmaker may pay us when you sign up. Here is how that works and why it never changes our ratings, rankings or tips.
On this page
BetNaija247 is free to read because some of our links to bookmakers are affiliate links. If you follow one and open an account, the bookmaker may pay us a commission. This page explains how that works and the rules that keep it separate from what we publish.
What an affiliate link is
An affiliate link carries a tracking code that tells the bookmaker a new customer came from BetNaija247. Depending on the agreement, the bookmaker may pay us when you register, when you make a first deposit or based on activity on the account over time. The details vary by bookmaker and are agreed privately.
Affiliate links appear mainly on bookmaker cards, review pages, bonus pages and booking code pages. Links between our own pages are never affiliate links.
Not every bookmaker we review has an affiliate agreement with us. Bookmakers without one are scored and ranked with exactly the same method, and some of them sit above bookmakers that do pay us.
What it costs you
Nothing. You pay the same and receive the same welcome offer as you would by going to the bookmaker directly. Your stakes, odds and winnings are not affected, and we never receive any part of your deposits.
What commission does not change
- Scores and rankings. Bookmakers are ordered by the published formula on how we rate betting sites. A bookmaker that pays us gets no extra points, and one that pays us nothing loses none.
- Tips and booking codes. Picks are chosen on the match, and every result stays in the public record, as our editorial policy requires.
- What we say in reviews. Weaknesses, slow withdrawals and unclear bonus rules are reported whether or not we have an agreement with the bookmaker.
Our responsibilities as an affiliate
We only promote betting to adults aged 18 and over. We do not describe any bet as sure or risk-free, and we do not present betting as a source of income. We want you to choose a bookmaker licensed by a Nigerian state regulator; our guide to checking a betting licence shows how.
If you believe a page breaks these rules, or you have a question about how we are funded, please get in touch. You can read more about who we are on our about page.
Frequently asked questions
No. You receive the same welcome offer the bookmaker gives any new customer, under its standard terms. Always read those terms on the bookmaker's own site before you deposit, because offers change often.
Some affiliate agreements in the betting industry pay a share of the revenue a bookmaker makes from referred customers, so we are open about it. That is exactly why rankings follow a fixed published formula and tips are judged on a public results record.
Links that send you to a bookmaker's website, mainly from bookmaker cards, reviews, bonus pages and booking code pages, may be affiliate links. Links that take you to another BetNaija247 page never are.
