Strategy tools
These betting calculators each answer one question a punter asks before or after placing a bet: what will this pay, what chance do these odds imply, how much is the bookmaker keeping, and how much should I stake. Pick a card above, type your numbers and the answer appears as you type, in Naira and decimal odds.
Which betting calculator answers your question?
Start from the question, not the tool name. The table matches the most common questions to the calculator built for them.
| Your question | Use this tool |
|---|---|
| How much will this single bet return? | Odds and payout calculator |
| What is 7/4 or +175 in decimal? | Odds converter |
| What chance of winning do these odds suggest? | Implied probability |
| How big is the bookmaker’s cut on this match? | Margin calculator |
| What are the fair odds without that cut? | No-vig calculator |
| What does my 6-leg slip pay? | Accumulator calculator |
| Is this price worth backing? | Value bet calculator |
| How much of my bankroll should I stake? | Kelly calculator |
Odds tools: price, return and the bookmaker’s cut
Five calculators deal with the odds themselves. The odds calculator turns a price and a stake into total return, profit and the win rate you need to break even. The odds converter shows one price in decimal, fractional, American and percentage form at once, which helps when a preview quotes UK or US prices.
The implied probability tool turns odds into a percentage and back again. The margin calculator adds up every outcome in a market to show the overround and payout percentage, and the no-vig calculator removes that overround to give fair odds. Used together, they tell you what a bookmaker really thinks of a match and what it charges you to bet on it.
Bet calculators for multiples and special bet types
These tools settle bets that are harder to work out in your head. The acca payout tool multiplies the odds of every leg; the round robin calculator splits several selections into doubles, trebles or every combination and shows what you get back when some legs lose or are void.
The draw no bet calculator converts 1X2 prices into DNB odds and shows how to build the bet yourself with two stakes. The each-way, teaser and lay bet calculators are more specialised: each-way suits horse racing and outright markets such as a tournament winner, teasers are an American sports bet that most Nigerian bookmakers do not offer, and lay betting needs a betting exchange. We keep them because the maths helps you understand those bets when you see them discussed.
Strategy tools for value, staking and covering outcomes
Strategy calculators need one extra input: your own estimate of the chance a bet wins. The value bet tool compares your percentage with the bookmaker’s price and gives the expected profit per ₦1. The Kelly calculator turns that edge into a stake size, and most punters use half or quarter Kelly to keep swings smaller.
The arbitrage, hedge and dutching calculators split money across several outcomes so the result is locked or levelled. The Poisson calculator turns expected goals for each team into win, draw, over/under and correct score percentages, which gives you a starting estimate to feed into the value and Kelly tools.
A worked chain: from a price to a stake
Example A home team is priced at 2.10. The implied probability is 47.6%. Your own research puts the home win at 52%. The value bet tool shows an expected value of 0.52 × 2.10 − 1 = +0.092 per ₦1, so a ₦2,000 stake has an expected profit of +₦184 per bet, averaged over many bets like it. With a ₦100,000 bankroll, full Kelly suggests 8.36% and half Kelly about ₦4,182.
Each step uses one tool and hands its answer to the next. The chain only works if your 52% is honest: an inflated estimate makes every bet look like value, so check your percentages against the results you record.
Booking code converter for moving a slip
The betting code converter is not a maths tool but sits with them because punters use it daily: paste a booking code from one bookmaker and load the same selections on another. Prices often differ between sites, so run the converted slip’s total odds through the odds calculator before you stake.
How to get accurate answers from betting calculators
- Copy the price at the moment you bet. Odds move, and a calculation on yesterday’s price misleads.
- Use one bookmaker per market on the margin and no-vig tools; mixing sites turns it into an arbitrage check.
- Keep stakes in Naira. Every money field assumes ₦, so there is no currency step.
- Remember what a calculator cannot do. It does the arithmetic perfectly but cannot tell you who will win; for that, read our match predictions and judge them against the results they publish.
New to prices altogether? The guide on reading decimal, fractional and American odds explains the basics in a few minutes, and the calculators make more sense afterwards.
Frequently asked questions
Yes. Every calculator runs in your browser with no sign-up, no download and no limit on how many times you use it. Nothing you type is sent to a bookmaker, and the tools work on a phone as well as a laptop.
Yes. Nigerian sites show decimal odds, which is the default format in every tool, so you can copy a price straight from your slip. Most tools also accept fractional and American odds if a preview quotes them.
Start with the payout calculator for single bets. It shows your return, profit and break-even win rate from one price and one stake, and those three numbers are the base for every other tool on the page.
No. Calculators only do arithmetic on the numbers you enter. The strategy tools ask for your own win probability, so their answers are only as good as that estimate. They help you price and size a bet, not pick the result.
Lay betting needs an exchange and teasers are an American sports bet, and neither is common with Nigerian bookmakers. The calculators still explain the maths, so you understand those bets when tipsters or foreign sites talk about them.
