All bookmaker reviews A–Z
On this page
These bookmaker reviews cover every betting site we list for Nigerian punters, from the household names to small offshore brands. Each review is built from the same checklist: who runs the site, which regulator licenses it, what the welcome offer really asks of you, how you deposit and withdraw in Naira, what the app can do and how to reach support. When a fact cannot be confirmed, the review says so instead of guessing.
What every review checks
Every review follows the same order, so you can compare one site with another quickly.
- Licence and operator. We look the company up on the Lagos State Lotteries and Gaming Authority register and the National Lottery Regulatory Commission list, and note other state licences the operator publishes.
- Welcome offer terms. Qualifying deposit, wagering, minimum odds, time limit and any cap on winnings, with a Naira example where the maths matters.
- Payments. Deposit and withdrawal methods, minimum amounts and the payout times the bookmaker publishes or that recent users report.
- Product. Sports and markets, live betting, streaming, cash out, booking codes, virtual football, Aviator and casino games.
- App and support. Whether the Android app comes from the Play Store or as an APK, whether there is an iPhone app, and which support channels actually exist.
How to read a licence status
Since the Supreme Court judgment of November 2024, gaming in Nigeria is regulated by each state, and a licence from the National Lottery Regulatory Commission now covers only the Federal Capital Territory. That is why each review shows the licence in plain words and, when it matters, flags it in a box at the top of the page.
- Lagos (LSLGA) and other state licences: the operator appears on a state regulator's register. This is the strongest status for punters outside Abuja.
- Renewal pending or expired: the register entry has passed its end date and no renewal was showing when we checked. Check the register again before you deposit.
- NLRC only: a federal approval that today applies to the FCT. Treat it as weaker than a state licence where you live.
- Offshore or no licence found: the site works under a foreign licence or none at all, so a Nigerian regulator cannot help you in a dispute.
Our guide to whether betting is legal in Nigeria explains the rules in more detail.
Scores, rankings and why they change
Every review carries a score out of 10 built from six weighted criteria: licence and safety, Naira payments, withdrawals, markets and features, app and mobile, and bonus terms. The weights and the scoring rules are published on our how we rate page, and commissions play no part in them. When a bookmaker changes its terms or a licence lapses, the facts are updated and the score moves with them.
The scores also decide the order of our ranking of betting sites in Nigeria. Use that page when you want a shortlist; use a full review when you have a name in mind and want to know the catch.
Red flags we point out
Some problems come up again and again across Nigerian betting sites. When we find one, it goes into the review's cons and the written verdict:
- A welcome bonus with high wagering, high minimum odds or a low cap on what you can withdraw.
- A minimum withdrawal far above the minimum deposit, so small balances get stuck.
- No Play Store app and an APK from unofficial download sites, which carries a malware risk.
- Look-alike domains and social media pages that copy a brand's name and logo.
- Support that exists only by email, or phone numbers that do not match the official site.
Using these reviews with our other guides
Once you have picked a site, our bonus guide helps you judge an offer before you claim it, the betting apps page compares mobile apps, and the booking codes page shows today's ready-made slips for the biggest bookmakers. If betting stops being fun, our responsible gambling guide lists the tools every licensed bookmaker should offer.
Bookmaker reviews: FAQ
Each review shows the date its facts were last checked. We re-check licences, bonuses and payment details whenever a bookmaker announces a change or a reader reports one, and in regular sweeps of all the sites we list.
No. Scores come from the published method on our how we rate page. Some links on the site can be affiliate links, but a commission never changes a score, a ranking or the wording of a review.
It means we could not confirm that detail from the bookmaker's own pages or two reliable sources. We prefer a gap to a guess, because bonus terms and limits change often.
Start with the sites that hold a state licence where you live and score well on withdrawals. The filter buttons above show the licensed sites and those with an app, fast payouts or Aviator.
