Melbet is one of the busiest betting sites open to Nigerians, built on a huge market list, a 200% welcome match and payment options that run from OPay to Bitcoin. This Melbet review weighs those strengths against a demanding rollover, a cluttered interface and a licence history that was patchy until recently.
Melbet’s operator and its Nigerian licences
The Melbet brand dates from 2012 and is operated in Nigeria by Otrada Hospitality Limited. Three Nigerian approvals are cited for it. The Lagos State Lotteries and Gaming Authority register lists Otrada Hospitality Limited (Melbet) under online sports betting and online casino. Review sites also quote NLRC sports betting licence 0001030 and an Oyo State Gaming Board casino licence, OYSGB/CASB/210006.
Two details are worth knowing. First, after the Supreme Court judgment of 22 November 2024, an NLRC licence covers only the Federal Capital Territory, so the Lagos and Oyo approvals are the ones with real weight for most readers. Second, Melbet appeared on the LSLGA’s list of unlicensed operators in 2025, and the start date on its current register row looks mistyped. It is now on the licensed list, but check the register before depositing. Our page on betting law in Nigeria explains how state licensing works.
The 200% Melbet bonus and its rollover
New customers who deposit at least ₦455 receive a 200% bonus, capped at ₦320,000. Before depositing, you need to complete your profile, verify your phone number and opt in to the sports bonus. The bonus then has to be wagered 8 times within 30 days on accumulators of three or more selections, with at least three legs priced at 2.10 or longer.
Rollover maths: deposit ₦5,000 and you get a ₦10,000 bonus. Eight times ₦10,000 means ₦80,000 of accumulator stakes. Every qualifying slip needs three legs at 2.10 or more, so even a basic treble sits at about 9.26 odds. Clearing ₦80,000 of turnover at that price will usually burn through the bonus first.
The bonus is useful as extra stake if you already bet trebles and longer, but not as a quick cash boost. Learn how turnover works in our rollover betting guide.
Regular promotions reported in 2026 include a Monday reload of 100% up to ₦140,000, a 3% weekly cashback on losing bets at 1.50 or higher, an Accumulator of the Day with a 10% odds boost, an automatic boost on accumulators of four or more legs and a Bonus for 100 Bets reward.
Signing up and passing KYC at Melbet
- Open melbet.ng or the app and choose Registration.
- Pick sign-up by phone, email or one-click, and select Nigeria and Naira as your currency.
- Enter a promo code if you have one, choose the sports bonus and confirm.
- Complete your profile: full name, date of birth and address, then verify your mobile number with the SMS code.
- Before your first withdrawal, upload a government ID when the security team requests it.
Choose your bonus at registration, because switching later can be difficult. Use your legal name, since withdrawals go only to accounts in that name.
Markets, leagues and odds coverage
Melbet lists 40 or more sports and reviewers count thousands of pre-match events each day. Football goes from the Premier League and Champions League down to lower divisions in Africa, Asia and South America, and the NPFL is covered with a smaller market list. Top games offer 250 or more markets: corners, cards, player shots, handicaps and exotic specials.
That depth makes Melbet useful for specialist bets such as handicap betting, but the volume of tabs can feel crowded on a budget phone. Use the search box rather than scrolling.
In-play markets, video and cash out at Melbet
Live betting covers most sports and adds statistics, Bet Builder and a multi-live view. Streams are available on selected events after login, with NBA, La Liga and Bundesliga named by one 2026 review and no NPFL video. Cash out is offered on many pre-match and in-play bets, with the value shown on your bet history.
If you are new to betting during a match, read our live betting guide on how fast odds move and why suspended markets happen.
Aviator, slots and virtual sports
The casino has thousands of games, from slots by Pragmatic Play, Playson and Wazdan to live tables from Evolution. Aviator is in the crash section and is one of the site’s most played titles, and there are virtual football, basketball and horse racing products. Spins start from ₦10 on many slots. Our Aviator guide explains the multiplier and why no strategy beats the house edge.
Melbet’s app and mobile site
The Android app is an APK of about 35MB downloaded from the Melbet site, not from Google Play, according to the most recent review we checked. Allow installs from your browser for the download, then turn that setting off again. The iOS app is in the App Store. The mobile site carries the full product and is the simpler choice if storage is tight.
Paying in and withdrawing at Melbet
Local deposit options include bank transfer, USSD, OPay, PalmPay, Paystack and Flutterwave, with minimums of ₦300 to ₦500 depending on the route. Debit cards, e-wallets such as Skrill and MiFinity, and crypto including Bitcoin and USDT are also listed. Melbet does not charge its own fees, though crypto networks do.
Minimum withdrawals run from ₦500 by OPay to ₦1,000 by bank transfer in one review, and higher for cards and crypto. Reviewers report verified bank and OPay withdrawals arriving within two hours, sometimes inside 15 minutes, while bank payouts can take up to 24 hours. Finish KYC early, withdraw to the method you deposited with, and treat bonus funds as locked until the rollover is done.
Melbet customer service
Live chat is open 24/7 inside the site and app once you log in, and it is the fastest route. Email support at support@melbet.team and a Telegram channel are also listed, along with a help centre. Keep transaction IDs ready when chasing a payment.
Who Melbet suits, and better options for others
Melbet works for punters who want a large deposit match, deep markets and crypto as well as Naira payments. It is a poor match for beginners who want a short rollover or a clean interface. If that is you, look at Bet9ja for a simpler site with accumulator boosts, or 1xBet for a similar market depth with a different bonus structure.
Our verdict on Melbet
Melbet suits experienced punters who want a large first-deposit match, deep football markets and the option to pay with crypto as well as bank transfer and OPay. Its 200% bonus up to ₦320,000 starts from just ₦455, and support runs 24/7 by live chat. The catch is the rollover: 8x on accumulators with legs at 2.10 or longer is hard to clear, the site is busy on a phone, and the Android app comes as an APK. It now appears on the Lagos register, but was listed as unlicensed in Lagos in 2025.

Melbet FAQ
Otrada Hospitality Limited, which runs Melbet in Nigeria, is on the Lagos State Lotteries and Gaming Authority register for online sports betting and casino. Review sites also cite an NLRC licence, now limited to the FCT, and an Oyo State casino licence. Melbet was on the Lagos unlicensed list in 2025, so check the LSLGA register yourself.
Deposit at least ₦455 as a new customer and Melbet adds 200% of it, up to ₦320,000. You must turn the bonus over 8 times within 30 days on accumulators of three or more selections, with at least three legs at odds of 2.10 or longer. Complete your profile before the deposit.
Most local methods such as bank transfer, USSD and OPay start at ₦300 according to recent reviews, while card deposits start around ₦500. The welcome bonus needs at least ₦455. E-wallets and crypto have higher minimums, which the cashier shows when you choose the method.
Reviewers report bank and OPay withdrawals arriving within 15 minutes to two hours once the account is verified, with some bank payouts taking up to 24 hours. Crypto can take from ten minutes to a day. Incomplete KYC is the most common reason for delays.
Open melbet.ng in your phone browser and use the app link to download the Android APK, then allow installation from that source. iPhone users can get the app from the App Store. Always start from the official site rather than a link shared in a group chat.
Yes. Melbet lists cryptocurrency for both deposits and withdrawals, including Bitcoin and USDT, alongside Naira options. Network fees may apply and crypto minimum withdrawals are higher than bank transfer, so it suits larger, less frequent cash outs.
