On this page
Each Bet9ja code in the list above was booked on Bet9ja by our editors and shows the number of games, total odds and the kick-off of the first match, which is when the code starts to expire. Bet9ja calls these codes booking numbers, and you can use them online or at a Bet9ja shop.
How to load a Bet9ja booking code online
Bet9ja’s own help pages describe a booking code field where you enter the code and select load. In the app, Bet9ja lists a Book a Bet option under its quick links menu. Labels can shift between app updates, but the flow is:
- Copy the code above with the copy button.
- Open Bet9ja on the app or website and find the booking code or Book a Bet box.
- Paste the code and load it. The selections move onto your betslip.
- Check games and odds against the numbers we posted next to the code.
- Log in, set your stake and place the bet from your balance.
Using a Bet9ja booking number at a shop
This is where Bet9ja differs from app-only bookmakers. Bet9ja’s help centre explains that you can book a bet while logged out, get a booking number or email confirmation, then show it at a Bet9ja shop, where the cashier places the bet when you pay. That suits punters who prefer cash or have no funded account.
You do not need the app either. You can book on a friend’s phone or the shop’s own screen, and the booking number is all the cashier needs. Write it down along with the total odds, so you can spot a change when the ticket is printed.
The catch is timing. Bet9ja states that odds may change and that bets are placed at the odds that are correct when payment is made, not when you booked.
Example You book a slip at total odds of 6.20 in the morning, planning a ₦2,000 stake for a ₦12,400 return. By the time you reach the shop in the afternoon, one price has shortened and the slip stands at 5.90. Paid now, the ticket returns ₦11,800. Check the printed ticket before you leave the counter.
Reading the total odds next to each Bet9ja code
Next to every code we show the total odds at the moment we booked it. That number lets you check three things at once:
- A big drop usually means a game kicked off and was removed.
- A small drop means one or two prices shortened, often because of team news.
- A small rise means a price drifted, which is worth a second look at the news for that match.
Total odds are simply each leg’s odds multiplied together; try it in our acca calculator to see how one leg changes the payout. Our guide to reading odds explains what a price says about a team’s chance.
Why Bet9ja betting codes expire
A booking number stores pre-match selections, and Bet9ja stops taking pre-match bets on a game at kick-off. After the first match on the slip starts, the code cannot be placed in full. Load it well before the expiry time shown, especially if you are going to a shop.
Shop tickets are bearer documents. Keep the printed ticket safe, because whoever holds a winning ticket can usually claim it.
Sharing your own Bet9ja betting codes
Build your slip, then use the book option instead of placing the bet to get a booking number. When you share it, add the total odds and the first kick-off time so the person loading it can check the slip, the same way we list ours. To move a Bet9ja slip to SportyBet or BetKing, use the booking code converter, or compare with today’s SportyBet slips.
Mistakes that cost Bet9ja code users money
- Booking early, paying late. Shop bets take the odds at payment, so a slip booked at 9am and paid at 3pm can be worth less.
- Not checking the ticket. Cashiers type fast. Make sure every game, market and the stake on the printed ticket match your booking.
- Mixing up codes. A Bet9ja booking number is only for Bet9ja. If it fails, check you are not pasting a code from another bookmaker.
- Trusting a slip’s old total. Totals quoted in groups are often hours old. Load the code and read the current figure before you stake.
How our Bet9ja slips are chosen
The legs come from the same work as the football predictions on this site: form, home and away records, goals and expected-goals data, head-to-head and team news. We then compare our estimate with Bet9ja’s price and only keep legs where the price looks fair. Read our Bet9ja review for deposits, withdrawals and the app itself.
Frequently asked questions
No. Bet9ja's help centre says you can book a bet while logged out, which is how shop punters get a booking number. To place the bet online from your own balance, you then log in, load the slip and confirm your stake.
Bet9ja places shop bets at the odds that apply when you pay, not when you booked. If a price moved in between, your ticket shows the new total. Compare the printed ticket with your booking before you hand over cash.
Yes. Once the selections are on your slip you can remove or add games before placing it. Doing so does not change the original booking number, and if you want to share your edited slip, book it again to get a new number.
Look at the expiry time next to each code above. It is the kick-off of the first match. If that time has passed, at least one game can no longer be placed, so the code will load short or not at all.
