On this page
Our Premier League predictions cover the English top flight round by round. Each pick above shows the kick-off in Nigerian time, the market, the odds we took and how confident we are.
In short
- 20 clubs, 38 rounds and 380 matches from August to May; the bottom three go down to the Championship.
- A Saturday 3pm UK kick-off starts at 16:00 WAT from late October to late March, and at 15:00 WAT for the rest of the season.
- Match-result prices are very sharp, so our edge usually comes from team news, fixture timing and secondary markets.
- Every pick is settled in the results table above, wins and losses alike.
How the Premier League season is structured
Twenty clubs play each other home and away, giving every side 38 matches and the season 380 in total. A win earns three points and a draw one. The bottom three are relegated to the EFL Championship and replaced by the top two there plus the winner of a play-off between the clubs finishing third to sixth.
The top four qualify for the Champions League league phase, and a fifth place is possible in seasons when English clubs perform strongly in UEFA competitions. That race for fourth or fifth keeps many mid-table matches alive deep into spring. If you also follow the second tier, our Championship picks use the same method.
Early season (August–September)
New signings are still bedding in and five or six matches of data say little. We lean on last season’s underlying numbers, such as expected goals and shots conceded, and treat early table positions with caution.
Festive period (December–January)
Several rounds are packed into a few weeks, including Boxing Day fixtures. Squads with fewer senior players fade, so rest days between matches carry extra weight in our ratings.
Run-in (April–May)
Motivation splits the league. Clubs fighting relegation or chasing Europe play with urgency, while sides safe in mid-table can switch off or hand minutes to young players. We note each team’s target before rating a late-season match.
Premier League kick-off times in Nigerian time (WAT)
Nigeria stays on UTC+1 all year. The UK uses GMT (UTC+0) in winter and British Summer Time (UTC+1) from the last Sunday in March to the last Sunday in October. So an English match starts one hour later in Lagos during winter and at the same clock time during summer.
| UK time | WAT, late Oct to late Mar | WAT, late Mar to late Oct |
|---|---|---|
| Sat 12:30 | 13:30 | 12:30 |
| Sat 15:00 | 16:00 | 15:00 |
| Sat 17:30 | 18:30 | 17:30 |
| Sun 14:00 | 15:00 | 14:00 |
| Sun 16:30 | 17:30 | 16:30 |
| Midweek 20:00 | 21:00 | 20:00 |
Fixtures are first listed for Saturday at 15:00, then many move to other slots when broadcasters make their picks, usually five or six weeks ahead. Because the UK does not show the Saturday 3pm games live, several matches still share that slot, which is why a weekend slip often has four or five legs starting at once. Times on the picks above are already in WAT.
What makes EPL betting different from other leagues
Few football matches attract more money worldwide, so Premier League odds on the match result are efficient and rarely far from the true chance. Beating them needs information the price has not absorbed yet, and that usually arrives in the hour after team sheets are confirmed.
Secondary markets react more slowly. Corner and booking lines are set partly from season averages, so a change of referee or a tactical switch can leave them out of date; see our daily corner picks and card betting picks for those angles.
European football adds another layer. A club that played away on Thursday night and then faces an early Sunday kick-off has under three full days to recover, and that matters more for the press-heavy sides than for deep-sitting ones.
Which markets suit our EPL tips
- Draw no bet on away favourites. Strong visiting sides often control games without forcing a winner, so removing the draw protects the stake. Read how draw no bet settles.
- Goal lines. Open, attacking match-ups suit our over/under 2.5 goals picks and we switch to the under when both sides’ chance creation is low.
- Both teams to score. Useful when two sides concede chances but rarely fail to create them; our GG/NG selections carry the full reasoning.
- Handicaps on big home favourites. When the match result is priced around 1.20, an Asian line such as -1 or -1.5 gives a fairer return.
Example You like an away favourite priced 2.10 to win. A ₦2,000 stake returns ₦4,200 if they win (₦2,200 profit) and loses everything on a draw. Draw no bet on the same team is priced 1.55: a win returns ₦3,100 (₦1,100 profit) and a draw refunds your ₦2,000. You give up ₦1,100 of upside to remove the draw risk.
What we check before publishing Premier League predictions
- Likely line-ups. Injuries, suspensions and whether key players started a European game three days earlier.
- Fixture timing. Rest days, travel and the next fixture, since managers rotate before big cup ties.
- Underlying numbers. Expected goals for and against over the last ten matches, split into home and away, rather than recent scorelines alone.
- Match-up. How each side creates chances against a high press, a low block or set pieces.
- Price check. We turn our estimate into a fair price and only publish when the bookmaker offers more; our guide to implied probability shows the maths.
Using the Today, Tomorrow and Weekend tabs
Most rounds run from Friday night to Monday night, so the Weekend tab above holds the bulk of the round, while the Today tab carries midweek and Monday-night fixtures. Use the market buttons to show only goals, result or handicap picks, and check the results table to see how each market has performed over the last 30 days.
If you want to combine selections, keep to the higher-confidence picks and test the numbers in our acca calculator first. For matches from other competitions, go back to the main predictions page, or compare with our Spanish top-flight picks and UCL selections.
Premier League team sheets are only confirmed shortly before kick-off. If a key player we expected to start is missing, the reasoning behind a pick may no longer hold, so check the line-up before you place a bet on any early-published selection.

Frequently asked questions
The traditional 3pm UK slot starts at 16:00 WAT between late October and late March, when Britain is on GMT. From late March to late October Britain is on summer time, so the same game starts at 15:00 WAT. Lunchtime and evening TV slots shift by the same one hour.
Three. The clubs finishing 18th, 19th and 20th drop into the EFL Championship. They are replaced by the Championship's top two and the winner of its play-off final, so three new sides join every August.
Bookmakers adjust when team news, betting volume or weather changes the expected outcome. The biggest moves usually follow confirmed line-ups. Our picks list the odds we took at publication, so the price you see later may be higher or lower. See how betting odds work.
No market is safe. Lower odds simply mean the bookmaker rates the outcome as more likely, and even 1.20 favourites drop points every season. Double chance or draw no bet reduce how often you lose, but they also cut the return on each win.
Not always. We publish where our analysis finds a price worth taking, so a round may have picks on six matches rather than ten. A fixture with no pick usually means the odds matched our own estimate too closely to offer value.
