These accumulator tips combine three to five of our predictions into one slip, each leg priced between about 1.25 and 2.10. The acca of the day above shows the total odds, the reason for every leg and how previous accas settled. Play it as it stands, trim it to fewer legs, or take the legs as singles. Every leg comes from the same analysis as our single picks.
How we build today’s acca
- Three to five legs. Enough for a worthwhile price, few enough that the slip has a realistic chance.
- Each leg priced about 1.25 to 2.10. Below 1.25 a leg adds almost nothing to the odds; above 2.10 it adds too much doubt.
- Every leg must stand alone. A leg qualifies only if we would back it as a single at that price, taken from today’s full predictions.
- Mixed markets. A home win, an over 1.5 goals leg and a double chance leg fail for different reasons, so one surprise is less likely to sink all of them.
More legs, lower chance: how acca maths works
An acca’s odds are the legs’ odds multiplied together, and so is its chance of winning. That second number is the one most slips leave out.
| Legs | Odds at 1.50 each | Chance at 70% each |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 1.50 | 70% |
| 3 | 3.38 | 34% |
| 5 | 7.59 | 17% |
| 8 | 25.63 | 6% |
| 10 | 57.67 | 3% |
Example Four legs at 1.45, 1.60, 1.75 and 1.50 give total odds of 6.09, so ₦1,000 returns ₦6,090. If we rate the legs at 74%, 66%, 60% and 70%, the chance that all four land is 0.74 × 0.66 × 0.60 × 0.70 = about 21%, or roughly one slip in five. Check any combination with the acca calculator.
The bookmaker’s margin compounds the same way. Each leg carries a few per cent of margin, so a ten-fold carries far more than a double, one reason long slips lose more over time.
Which markets make the best acca legs
Good accas are built from legs that win in many scorelines and fail for unrelated reasons.
- Strong legs: over 1.5 goals in matches between attacking sides, double chance on a fairly priced favourite, and home wins for sides with a clear quality gap at prices of 1.40 to 1.80.
- Risky legs: draws, correct scores and away wins at long prices. Each can be a sound single, but one of them in an acca drags the whole slip’s chance down.
- Linked legs: two picks from the same match, such as a home win plus over 2.5, depend on each other. Many bookmakers block or reprice these in a normal acca, and where they are allowed, both tend to fail together.
- Late kick-offs: legs spread across the day are fine, but a slip that waits on a 9pm game after four early winners invites the temptation to cash out cheaply.
Cash out on accumulators
Most Nigerian bookmakers offer cash out on accas, letting you settle early for an amount the site calculates. That offer includes the bookmaker’s margin, so on average it is worth slightly less than letting the slip run.
Cash out makes sense when your view of the remaining leg has changed: a red card, an early injury to a key player, or team news that arrived after you placed the slip. It is a poor habit when used only because the last leg feels nervy. Decide your rule before kick-off, not during the final ten minutes.
Building a football accumulator of your own
- Choose leagues you follow. You will spot team news that a stats table misses.
- Cap it at five legs. Every leg after that cuts your chance faster than it grows your return.
- Ask the single question. Would you bet this leg alone at this price? If not, it does not belong.
- Stake less than on a single. Because accas lose more often, 0.5 to 1% of your bankroll is a common stake.
- Share it as a code. Most Nigerian bookmakers turn a slip into a code; our booking codes for today page shows how they work.
If the term itself is new, our explainer on what an accumulator bet is covers settlement, voids and system bets.
Acca boosts and acca insurance
Many bookmakers add an acca boost, extra winnings that rise with the number of legs, or acca insurance, which refunds the stake, often as bonus funds, when exactly one leg loses. Both carry conditions: a minimum number of legs, minimum odds per leg, a cap on the boost and sometimes wagering on the refund. Compare current offers on our betting bonus page.
The trap is adding a weak leg just to qualify. A 1.40 leg with a 65% chance is worth 1.40 × 0.65 = 0.91 per naira staked, a loss on its own. Even a 5% boost on the full return lifts that only to about 0.96 (1.47 × 0.65), still below break-even, and most boosts apply to winnings only, which is worth less.
Big-odds slips and weekend accas
Slips of 20, 50 or 100 odds win rarely, so treat them as small-stake entertainment rather than a plan. Our big odds slips and 10 odds slips keep their own records, so you can see how often those prices actually land.
The maths is blunt. A 50-odds slip implies a 2% chance before the bookmaker’s margin, roughly one win in fifty attempts. ₦200 on such a slip returns ₦10,000 when it lands, but fifty ₦200 slips cost the same ₦10,000, so slips like these only make sense as a small, fixed amount you are happy to lose.
Weekends offer the widest choice, with kick-offs spread from early afternoon to late evening WAT. Build the slip on Friday if you like, but check team news before each leg starts, and remember that a slip finishing at 10pm ties your stake up for hours.
Weekend accas also face more late team news than midweek ones, because most clubs hold their press conferences on Thursday and Friday. A leg that looked solid on Thursday night can lose its reason by Saturday morning, so recheck before you stake.

Frequently asked questions
Usually three to five. Fewer than three rarely reaches a price worth combining, and beyond five the chance of every leg winning drops quickly. Each leg is priced at roughly 1.25 to 2.10.
Usually not. Most bookmakers void that leg and settle it at odds of 1.00, so the rest of the slip stands at a lower total price. Time limits for postponed games differ between bookmakers, so check the rules on the site you use.
It can soften a one-leg loss, but read the terms. Refunds often arrive as bonus funds with wagering attached, and you may need extra legs at minimum odds to qualify. Never add a weak leg just to qualify for insurance or a boost.
Yes. If you disagree with a leg or cannot get a similar price, remove it or replace it with another pick from the predictions page. Recalculate the total odds before you place the slip.
Every extra leg multiplies the chance of winning by a number below one. Ten legs at 70% each win together only about 3% of the time, and the bookmaker's margin grows with every leg, so long slips favour the bookmaker.
