- Who football.com suits, and when another site fits better
football.com is a football-led sportsbook that, unlike many newer names, appears on the current Lagos register. This football.com review explains what that licence covers, how features such as Flash Winning and 2UP work, and which details (above all the welcome offer) are still too unclear to rely on. It is a sound choice for football punters who value early payouts, less so for bonus hunters.
Who operates football.com and which licence covers Nigerian players
The company behind the brand is Football Internet Limited. The Lagos State Lotteries and Gaming Authority register, last updated on 27 October 2026, lists it under the trade name Football.com in the Online Sports Betting/Online Casino category, with a licence period from 24 July 2026 to 23 July 2027.
The National Lottery Regulatory Commission list carries the same company twice: a sports betting entry from 7 January 2023 to 6 January 2028 and an online casino entry to 30 June 2028. Since the Supreme Court judgment of 22 November 2024, NLRC licences only cover the Federal Capital Territory, so for a player in Lagos the state entry is the one that matters. Neither register prints a licence number, so we rely on the register entries themselves. Our guide on whether betting is legal in Nigeria explains how state licensing works.
What a Lagos licence gives you in practice: a regulator you can complain to if a withdrawal is withheld, identity checks before payouts, and responsible-gambling tools that the authority expects licensees to provide.
The welcome offer and football.com’s regular promotions
This is the part of the site with the least reliable public information. Reviews published in August and September 2026 describe two different deals. One reports a 150% bonus when the first deposit is ₦5,000, followed by 12 gifts over the next week. Another describes a bonus of up to ₦50,000 with a 5x to 10x rollover and a ₦500 qualifying deposit. Because the promotions page could not be confirmed, the offer box above shows “Not published” rather than a figure that may be wrong.
Checking the maths before you deposit: suppose the offer is 150% on ₦5,000. That is a ₦7,500 bonus. At a 5x rollover on the bonus you would need ₦37,500 of qualifying bets before any bonus winnings become withdrawable; at 10x the figure doubles to ₦75,000. Find the multiplier, the minimum odds and the deadline in the terms first. Our explainer on rollover betting walks through more examples.
The ongoing features are better documented because the help centre lists them by name: Cashout, Missions, Flash Freeze, 1X2 1UP, 1X2 2UP, DrawSave, EarlyGoals, Double Chance 1UP, Bore Draw, Flexi, 1 Cut, Flash Winning and Jackpot Perfect6.
Flash Winning is the most distinctive. According to the promotion page, a smart system checks pre-match football bets while the game is running and settles them as won once the result can no longer change, for example an Over 2.5 bet after the third goal. It works on 1X2, Double Chance and Over/Under, only for bets placed before kick-off, and settled slips carry a “Flash Win” label in your bet history. The 1UP and 2UP options follow the early-payout idea explained in our 1UP guide. Each of the other tools has its own rules page, so read it before you rely on it.
Creating and verifying a football.com account
- Open the Nigerian site (football.com/ng) or the Android app. Make sure the address ends in /ng so you are not on another country’s version.
- Choose Register and enter your Nigerian mobile number and a password.
- Complete any verification prompt sent to your phone, then log in.
- Fund the account from the deposit page using a card, bank transfer, or the direct bank options for Kuda, OPay or PalmPay.
- Before your first withdrawal, add a bank account in your own name and complete the identity check; reviewers report that payouts are processed after KYC approval.
Football markets, other sports and virtual leagues
As the name suggests, football carries the sportsbook. Reviewers describe basketball, tennis and a range of smaller sports alongside it, but the depth there is thinner. We could not confirm whether every NPFL round is listed, so check the Nigeria section before planning a slip around local fixtures.
Virtual football runs simulated leagues themed on England, Spain, Italy and Germany, plus a Champions-style competition. Jackpot Perfect6 adds a pool-style game where you predict six results. If you combine many selections, put them through the accumulator calculator first, because one cut leg changes the payout a lot.
In-play betting, Flash Freeze and cash out
The site promotes itself on live betting, and reviewers confirm an in-play section. Cash out is listed in the help centre as a standard feature, and Flash Freeze sits next to it in the list. 1 Cut is also listed; on Nigerian sites that name usually means a multiple can still pay, at a reduced return, when one selection loses, but read football.com’s own rules page for the exact conditions.
One review lists live streaming among the features, but we could not confirm which matches are streamed, so the feature list shows it as not published. If you mainly bet in-play, our live betting guide covers how odds move after goals and cards.
Casino games and what is not confirmed
Both registers show an online casino permission for Football Internet Limited, and reviewers describe a casino lobby with search and a live feed of other players’ wins. We did not find a reliable 2026 source confirming Aviator, so it is left unconfirmed here. Treat casino games as entertainment with a fixed budget; the house edge works against you over time.
Using football.com on your phone
An Android app is available, and the mobile site works in any browser. Sources disagree about iOS: one review lists an iPhone app while its own text says iPhone users should use the mobile website. Until an App Store listing is confirmed, iPhone users should plan on the browser version. Our betting apps guide compares the options if a native iOS app matters to you.
Naira deposits and withdrawals
Deposit routes reported in 2026 are debit card, bank transfer, other-bank payments and direct bank options for Kuda, OPay and PalmPay, which hand you over to that bank’s own app. Withdrawals go to a Nigerian bank account. A September 2026 review reports a ₦100 minimum and a ₦9,999,999 maximum per withdrawal.
No official payout time is published. One review says withdrawals usually land within 24 hours once KYC is approved, which is a useful benchmark but not a promise. The same September review mentions a turnover condition linked to your total stake, worded unclearly; if a withdrawal button is greyed out, that rule is the first thing to check. To avoid delays, use a bank account in the same name as your profile.
Help centre and chat
Support sits inside the profile menu: a “How to play” help section and a chat assistant. We found no published phone number or email address in the 2026 sources, which makes escalating a payment problem slower than at operators with a call centre.
Who football.com suits, and when another site fits better
Choose it if you bet mostly on football, like your winners settled early and want a site on the Lagos register. Look elsewhere if you want a clearly stated welcome bonus or phone support; BetKing publishes its offer and contact lines in more detail, and SportyBet has a confirmed iOS app. Keep stakes within a budget you can lose; betting is not a way to earn money.
Our verdict on football.com
football.com suits Nigerian punters who bet mainly on football and like tools that pay out before the final whistle, such as Flash Winning, 1UP and 2UP. It is one of the newer brands with a current Lagos register entry, which counts in its favour. Its weak spot is transparency: the welcome offer is described differently by different reviewers, support appears limited to a help centre and chat, and iPhone users have no confirmed app. Check the promotions page before depositing.

football.com FAQ
Yes. The Lagos State Lotteries and Gaming Authority register lists Football Internet Limited, trading as Football.com, for online sports betting and casino from 24 July 2026 to 23 July 2027. The company is also on the NLRC list, although NLRC licences now cover only the FCT.
Reviews from August and September 2026 describe different offers, including a 150% bonus on a ₦5,000 first deposit plus gifts, and a bonus of up to ₦50,000. Because they conflict, check the Promotions page in your account for the current amount, rollover and deadline before you deposit.
Flash Winning settles a pre-match football bet as won before the final whistle once the outcome can no longer change. It applies to 1X2, Double Chance and Over/Under markets, only for bets placed before kick-off, and the slip is marked Flash Win in your bet history.
A September 2026 review reports a ₦100 minimum and ₦9,999,999 maximum per withdrawal, paid to a Nigerian bank account. Complete identity verification first, because payouts are processed after KYC approval, and make sure the bank account is in your own name.
An Android app is confirmed. Sources disagree about an iOS app, and we could not confirm an App Store listing, so iPhone users should use the mobile site at football.com/ng in Safari or another browser.
Support is reached through the profile menu, which has a How to play help section and a chat assistant. We found no published phone number or email address in 2026 sources, so keep screenshots of any payment problem when you raise it through chat.
