Cloudbet serves a narrow group of Nigerian punters: bettors who already understand crypto wallets and accept offshore risk. This Cloudbet review explains why the site can be fast and generous with limits yet still wrong for anyone who wants to deposit Naira.
Halcyon Super Holdings and the Curaçao licence
Cloudbet launched in 2013 as one of the first Bitcoin sportsbooks. The site is operated by Halcyon Super Holdings B.V., a Curaçao company (number 148526), and licensed by the Curaçao Gaming Authority under licence OGL/2024/328/0599. Some payments are handled by a subsidiary, Solas Technologies Limited.
It holds no licence from Lagos or any other Nigerian state. In October 2023 the Lagos State Lotteries and Gaming Authority named Cloudbet among operators it described as unlicensed in Lagos. A company trading as “Cloud Bet” received an NLRC permit in 2019 that ran to March 2024, but we found nothing linking that company to cloudbet.com, and NLRC permits now cover only the FCT anyway. In practice, if a dispute arises you cannot take it to a Nigerian regulator. Read our explainer on Nigerian betting law before signing up with any offshore site.
Cloudbet welcome rewards and VIP rakeback
Cloudbet does not use a classic deposit match. Its October 2026 welcome package is advertised as up to $2,500 in cash, paid out over 30 days through cashback, daily cash drops and rakeback, with a rewards calendar that unlocks three times a day. Each calendar entry expires 12 hours after unlocking. A first qualifying deposit of $50 also brings 150 free spins on one slot.
The cash rewards carry no rollover, which is unusual. Free-spin winnings do have a 30x requirement. Sports bets only qualify for the weekly cash drops, so the package leans towards casino players.
Free-spin example: if the 150 spins win $10, you must wager $300 (30 x $10) before that money can be withdrawn. Cash drops and cashback, by contrast, can be withdrawn as soon as they land in your wallet.

Creating a Cloudbet account
- Open cloudbet.com and choose Sign up.
- Enter an email address and a strong password, then confirm the email link.
- Pick a cryptocurrency wallet in your account and copy its deposit address.
- Send coins from your own exchange account or wallet to that address.
- Be ready for KYC: Cloudbet can ask for ID, proof of address and a selfie before a withdrawal or when its risk checks are triggered. Reviewers report first checks clearing in about six hours.
Always double-check the network (for example, USDT on the correct chain). Coins sent on the wrong network can be lost.
Sports, African football and limits
The sportsbook covers more than 25 sports plus eSports, including football, basketball, tennis, MMA, baseball, American football and horse racing. Cloudbet is an exclusive partner of the Professional Fighters League, so MMA is well covered. Football depth is strongest on European leagues and international tournaments. We could not confirm regular NPFL markets, so Nigerian league fans should check the menu before depositing. High-staking players get personalised limits through the VIP programme, and a Bet Builder is available.
In-play markets and partial cash out
Cloudbet offers pre-match and live in-play betting. Cash out is published in its own rules: you can settle a whole bet early or cash out part of it and leave the rest running, provided the offered amount is above zero. Partial cash out is a useful way to lock some profit on an accumulator while keeping upside. We found no confirmed live video streaming. Our live betting guide covers how to use in-play odds sensibly.
Casino and Cloudbet Originals
The casino lists thousands of slots, live dealer tables, game shows and its own provably fair Cloudbet Originals. We could not confirm Aviator or virtual sports on the site for Nigerian players, so those are marked as not published on this page.
Using Cloudbet on your phone
There is no native Cloudbet app on Google Play or the App Store. The site is built to work in mobile browsers on Android and iPhone, and you can add a shortcut to your home screen. Do not install a “Cloudbet APK” from any third-party site. A Telegram bot also gives access to some features.
Crypto deposits and withdrawals for Nigerians
Every deposit and withdrawal is in cryptocurrency. Cloudbet supports more than 30 coins, including BTC, ETH, USDT, USDC, LTC, DOGE and XRP. There is no bank transfer, OPay or card deposit in Naira. Card purchases go through third-party crypto sellers, which have charged around 4.5% in fees, and your bank may block them. Minimum amounts vary by coin and are not published as a single figure.
Withdrawals are the strong point: Cloudbet says 90% are processed in under two minutes. The catch for Nigerians is the extra step: you still have to sell coins on an exchange or P2P market to get Naira into a bank account, which adds fees and price risk. Our crypto betting sites guide explains those costs.
Support channels
Support is available around the clock through live chat and email, in many languages. VIP players from the higher tiers get a personal host on WhatsApp or Telegram. There is no Nigerian phone line or office.
Who Cloudbet is for, and better options for most readers
Cloudbet suits experienced bettors who already hold crypto, want high limits and value fast coin payouts. It is a poor fit if you want to deposit Naira, need a Nigerian regulator behind you or are new to crypto. If you are comparing offshore crypto sites, our Stake review explains why Lagos and 24 other states declared that brand illegal in 2026; for Naira betting under a Lagos licence, start with Bet9ja. Crypto prices move fast, so never bet money you cannot afford to lose. 18+ only.
Our verdict on Cloudbet
Cloudbet suits experienced Nigerian bettors who already hold crypto and want fast coin withdrawals, high limits and cash out on a long-running international sportsbook. Its welcome package pays rewards without rollover, and most withdrawals clear in minutes. The drawbacks are serious for most readers: there are no Naira payments, the only licence is from Curaçao, and the Lagos regulator named Cloudbet among unlicensed operators in 2023. If you bet in Naira through your bank or OPay, a Lagos-licensed bookmaker is the safer choice.

Cloudbet FAQ
Cloudbet holds a Curaçao licence, not a Nigerian state licence. The Lagos State Lotteries and Gaming Authority named it among unlicensed operators in 2023. You can register from Nigeria, but you would have no Nigerian regulator to complain to in a dispute.
No. Cloudbet only accepts cryptocurrency such as BTC, ETH, USDT and USDC. You need to buy crypto first on an exchange or through a third-party card service, then send it to your Cloudbet wallet address.
Cloudbet says 90% of withdrawals are processed in under two minutes. Network confirmation times vary by coin, and identity checks can delay a first or large withdrawal. Converting crypto back to Naira adds another step.
New players get a package worth up to $2,500 in cash rewards over 30 days, paid as cashback, cash drops and rakeback with no rollover. A $50 first deposit also unlocks 150 free spins, whose winnings carry 30x wagering.
No native app is listed on Google Play or the App Store. The mobile site works in Android and iPhone browsers, and you can save it to your home screen. Avoid APK files offered by third-party sites.
Yes. Cloudbet's rules allow full cash out and partial cash out, where part of the potential return is settled and the rest of the bet stays active.
