betPawa is built around very small stakes: you can bet from ₦1 and fund your account by bank transfer from ₦20. This betPawa review looks at whether that low-cost model, its accumulator Win Bonus and its Lagos licence make it a sound pick for Nigerian punters on a tight budget.
Who is behind betPawa in Nigeria
The betPawa brand belongs to pawaTech, a Danish-founded group that licenses its platform across 17 African markets. In January 2025 Choplife Gaming signed a four-year deal to run betPawa in Nigeria, extending a partnership that already covered Ghana, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda and Benin.
The Nigerian site’s footer states that bets and payouts are processed by Choplife Gaming Limited, licensed by the Lagos State Lotteries and Gaming Authority under number LSLGA/OP/OSB/CL071124. The NLRC list also carries a betPawa sports betting permit for Calgary Online Limited to 2029, though since the Supreme Court judgment of November 2024 that permit only covers the FCT.
When we checked the public Lagos register in October 2026, Choplife’s online sports betting row showed an end date of 7 November 2025 and no newer entry. That may be a delay in updating the list, but it is worth checking the LSLGA site before depositing large sums.
The Win Bonus instead of a welcome offer
betPawa does not offer a deposit match for new players. Its main promotion is the Win Bonus: on any multibet of three or more legs, each priced at 1.10 or higher, it adds a percentage to your winnings. The percentage grows with each extra leg up to a ceiling of 1250% at 60 legs, and there is no minimum stake.
Worked example: betPawa’s own page uses a ₦1,000 win with a 50% bonus. The bonus adds ₦500, so you receive ₦1,500 instead of ₦1,000. Because there is no rollover attached, the extra money is paid as winnings.
The bonus only matters if the slip wins, and every extra leg reduces that chance. A short accumulator at sensible odds is still the better habit; our accumulator guide covers the maths. The casino side also advertises a 50% cashback offer, whose detailed terms we could not confirm.
Creating a betPawa account
- Open betpawa.ng and tap Join Now.
- Enter your Nigerian phone number and choose a four-digit PIN, which becomes your login password.
- Add your personal details and accept the terms and conditions.
- Enter the verification code sent by SMS, call or Telegram (you can request up to three codes in 24 hours).
- Deposit from ₦20 by bank transfer, then add a bank account in your own name before your first withdrawal.
What you can bet on
Football is the heart of betPawa, with European leagues, international cups and plenty of lower divisions on the coupon, plus basketball and other sports. 1UP and 2UP markets settle a Home or Away bet early when your team goes one or two goals ahead. With 2UP, the payout stands even if the opponent later draws or wins, although a goal cancelled by VAR reverses the early payout. Live betting and cash out on betPawa
The Live section lists dozens of in-play events at busy times, and 2UP bets can be placed live, even when the score is already 1–0. Cash out is offered, but taking it before a 2UP trigger removes the early-payout feature from that bet. We found no confirmation of live video streaming on the Nigerian site.
Casino, Aviator and virtual games
The casino lobby holds nearly 3,000 games, with Aviator and JetX in the crash category and a range of slots and jackpot titles. A virtual sports lobby runs fast simulated matches. Using betPawa on a phone

Deposits and withdrawals in Naira
Bank transfer is the main route. You type an amount and betPawa shows a temporary Moniepoint account number valid for 30 minutes. Send exactly that amount: wrong or partial transfers are refunded rather than credited. Deposits run from ₦20 to ₦5,000,000.
Withdrawals to 38 Nigerian banks start at ₦20 and go up to ₦1,000,000 per request, and you can save up to three accounts. Airtel SmartCash works both ways from ₦100 to ₦100,000, with a ₦25 charge per payment. OPay, PalmPay and MTN MoMo logos also appear in the cashier. If you add the wrong bank account, support can remove it, but that can take up to 12 hours.
betPawa help channels
There is no published phone line or email. Instead, the help page offers Facebook Messenger, a Telegram channel and a callback form where you pick a topic (deposit, withdrawal, betslip or other) and should hear back within five minutes. Support is described as running 24/7.

Our verdict on betPawa
betPawa suits budget punters who want to place small accumulators from ₦1, deposit tiny amounts by bank transfer and still earn a sizeable win bonus on long multibets. Cash out, 2UP early payouts, a casino with Aviator and a 24/7 callback service round it out. The catch: there is no deposit-match welcome offer, support runs through Messenger, Telegram and callbacks rather than email or chat, and the public Lagos register had not shown a renewed sports entry for its operator at the time of writing.
