Betjara is a Nigerian-owned bookmaker with a Lagos licence and one of the most generous accumulator boosts on the market, so it deserves a place on an acca punter’s shortlist. This Betjara review sets out the licence position, what the welcome offer costs to clear, and where the site still falls short.

Jara Investment Technologies and the licences behind Betjara

Betjara is run by Jara Investment Technologies Limited, based in Ajah, Lagos, and began taking bets in 2023 before adding a casino in 2024. The LSLGA register lists the company for online sports betting and online casino from 15 March 2026 to 14 March 2027, and reviewers quote the Lagos permit LSLGA/OP/OSB/BJ070325.

The NLRC list also carries a BJARA sports betting entry running to October 2028, and reviewers cite an FCT Lottery Regulatory Office licence. Since the November 2024 Supreme Court judgment, NLRC and FCT licences only apply in Abuja, so for Lagos players the LSLGA entry is what counts. More on this in our guide to whether betting is legal in Nigeria.

Betjara welcome bonus and the acca boost

As of October 2026 the sports welcome offer is a 200% first-deposit match up to ₦200,000, from a ₦100 deposit. You must wager the bonus 5 times on accumulators with at least three selections at 1.40 or more each, within 14 days, and winnings from bonus funds are capped at ₦500,000. Earlier in 2026 the offer was 100% up to ₦100,000, so confirm the current version at sign-up.

Example: deposit ₦5,000 and you get ₦10,000 in bonus funds. Five times that is ₦50,000 of qualifying bets, so ten ₦5,000 accumulators of three or more legs. With only 14 days to finish, that works out at about five accas a week.

The standout ongoing promotion is the accumulator boost. Reviewers report it starting at 3% for two selections, rising to 30% at ten selections, 70% at twenty and 1000% at fifty, with each leg priced at 1.20 or higher. Fully cashed-out bets lose the boost. Try a few combinations in our accumulator calculator to see how the boost changes your payout. A ₦1,000 birthday free bet, cashback on near-miss accumulators and casino offers complete the list on our bonuses page.

Registering with Betjara

  1. Go to betjara.ng or open the app and choose Register.
  2. Enter your Nigerian phone number and create a password.
  3. Confirm the OTP sent to your phone.
  4. Add your full name, email and date of birth (a full birth date is needed for the birthday free bet).
  5. Complete KYC with a valid ID before depositing, since reviewers say bonuses are only credited to verified accounts.

Sports coverage and betting tools

Soccernet counted 49 sports, with roughly 1,100 football events split into European, African and world groups, plus basketball, tennis, table tennis and eSports. A Champions League fixture carried more than 750 markets at one check. An AI bet generator suggests selections and an odds generator builds slips within a chosen range, but treat both as shortcuts, not predictions. We could not confirm NPFL coverage.

Live betting, streams and cash out

The live section shows several hundred matches at busy times, with point-by-point updates on tennis and table tennis. Live TV covers selected events through the Live tab. Cash out is available in full or in part on pre-match and live bets, and Bet Builder lets you combine up to 16 markets from one match.

Casino, Aviator and virtuals

The casino lists more than 5,000 games from over 50 providers, including Pragmatic Play, Habanero and Evolution live tables. Aviator sits among the crash games. Virtual football and racing run on 2 to 5 minute cycles. See our virtual football guide for how these results are generated.

App and mobile performance

Android users download the APK from betjara.ng; it is not on Google Play. iPhone users can install from the App Store. Reviewers found the app faster than the website at peak times, although live chat reportedly works better on the website than inside the app.

Naira payments

Deposits start at ₦100 (₦50 through some transfer options) and reach Betjara through Paystack, Quickteller, Interswitch, Monnify, cards, USSD and wallets such as OPay and PalmPay. Withdrawals start at ₦1,000, with a daily cap of ₦9,999,999. Most are paid within 24 hours, but manual bank transfers can take 2 to 5 banking days. Two rules cause most delays: withdrawals must go to an account in your own name, and 65% of each deposit must be wagered before you can withdraw it.

Contacting Betjara

Help comes through live chat, email and the phone line +234 816 916 8280. Support runs during business hours only, and reviewers report slow email replies and a phone line that can take several attempts, so live chat on the website is the quickest option.

Who Betjara suits

Betjara is a good fit for punters who build large accumulators and want local payment gateways with a Lagos licence. If you need round-the-clock support or a faster site, Bet9ja and SportyBet are more established options. Set a deposit limit before you claim the bonus.

9.3/10

Our verdict on Betjara

Betjara is a Nigerian-owned bookmaker with a Lagos licence, a strong accumulator boost and local payment gateways, which makes it a good fit for regular acca punters. The 200% welcome bonus has fair 5x terms but only 14 days to clear. Drawbacks are support that does not run around the clock, a website that slows at busy times and a rule that deposits must be partly wagered before withdrawal. A sensible second account for accumulator fans.

Betjara FAQ

Yes. The LSLGA register lists Jara Investment Technologies Limited, trade name Betjara, for online sports betting and casino from 15 March 2026 to 14 March 2027. It also appears on the NLRC list, and reviewers cite an FCT licence, both of which only cover Abuja since late 2024.
